I was a shade on a sunny day Like a stain, like a fly in milk. I was a snake among flowers. Bitterness and treachery Behind the words you said About love and mercy. You were among us the Son of God, The Light in Dark, But my soul was deaf. My soul was full of doubt and hate When water of life turns to poison of lies And illusion of light fades away in darkness, The ghost of hope shines so bright above us, So cold and far away from here I watched your suffering I felt your pain. I felt the nails in your flesh, The crack of bones, Eternal agony, When Death didn't want to come . I had no tear, No love, no hope, no relief Please die Oh when will you die? Now you are on the cross. They still rip you apart On the altars of mercy, On the altars of forgiveness. Your wounds are still bleeding in silence Behind the burning candles And l stand in shade. The insect life The insect death, When you beg for love and peace, Staying in dirt and slavery, Hiding in illusion of spirituality. Behind the mask of naive faith you cherish your hidden fear. Behind the mask of enlightenment Your weakness and misery Vanity of vanities, all is vanity and vexation of Spirit... Tell me that I am not pure enough. Tell me that i am full of sin. And if i am good I will dance in heaven with Krishna after my death Or stay near Jesus at his second coming. Give me light of kind gods of old religions among darkness of nowadays. Give a phantom of beauty in the desert of ugliness. Behind the mask of naive faith you cherish your hidden fear. Behind the mask of enlightenment Your weakness and misery Behind the mask of holiness l see your greed for power. Behind the mask of holiness l see your pride and dullness. When all laws of the universe are rejected, When the truth about human nature is humiliated by fools like you. Vanity of vanities, all is vanity and vexation of Spirit... Tell me that I am not pure enough. Tell me that i am full of sin. Give me lies about the kingdom of heaven, Oh give me lies about angels and gods. Tell me that I am not alone in this world. Give me lies about somebody who waits for me after my death. Say me that I will be rewarded after my suffering. You say my soul is dark and blind Because I see only evil around me And that the world is a mirror of myself Oh maybe, you will be saved and live in heaven or somewhere else, And I will be swallowed by the abyss forever, Will Burn in flames of hell And fade in the darkness. But anyway to die is better than to be a slave. Give me lies, oh give me lies about hell and heaven. Give me lies, oh give me lies about angels and gods, About eternal peace, Tell me that I am not alone in this world, Tell me about somebody who waits after my death. That I will be rewarded after my suffering.
